chapter 10
For the Chapter 10 Project, my partner and I were given a data set from our class book that represented a birth rate and death rate from a 1000-resident population. The overall goal of this project was to find the type of problem we would be solving, and compare the two data sets we were given to decide if we could reject of fail to reject the null hypothesis. My partner and I found that the problem we would be solving is a paired differences problem, and we will fail to reject the null hypothesis. We learned that there are three different types of similar equations in this chapter, and if the wrong one is used it will give incorrect results.
