chapter five
This Chapter 5 Project required my partner and I to do a little research. We were given the the assignment to find different probabilities using the sample space of a euchre deck. Both my partner and I had never played this game before resulting in this project being a little more difficult. My partner and I researched some information and decided to find the probability of pulling a 9 on the first try, a red Q on the first try, and both of those happening together if the first card pulled is replaced. My partner and I discovered that there is a greater chance of pulling a 9 on the first try than any of these other events happening. We learned that this is because there are more 9's in the deck than red Q's. Also, the chances of both of these events happening is smaller because there are more cards involved.
